Free CPR education

Sudden Cardiac Arrest at home, workplace and in public places is one of the commonest cause of death at all ages. 


CPR or Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation is a highly effective and easily learnable technique which can prevent death from sudden cardiac arrest


Our organization is  pioneer  in providing free education to  young and not so young people how to perform CPR in a person who has had sudden cardiac arrest and thus prevent sudden death. 



Public Education Symposia to prevent Sudden Cardiac Death

Sudden Cardiac Arrest at home, workplace and in public places is one of the commonest cause of death. 


Sabka Doctor Foundation recommends PERM which are evidence and research based actions by persons to prevent sudden Cardiac death


1. PREVENT: Coronary disease by life style changes, dietary prudence, weight management and physical exercise. Also, included is early detection and treatment of Diabetes, High Blood pressure, High Cholesterol, and Metabolic syndrome. May include Calcium score measure


2. EVALUATE: Timely and early assessment of recent onset chest discomfort, shortness of breath and light-headeness and syncope. This may include Electrocardiogram, Cardiac Enzymes measurement, Echocardiogram and Coronary CT angiogram


3. RESPOND: Public Access Defibrillation. Learn about Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and use of Automated External Defibrillator


4. MEDICAL TREATMENT: After surviving cardiac arrest or if at high risk of cardiac arrest. This may include treatment of coronary disease, congestive heart failure, heart rhythm disorders and possibly implantation of defibrillator






 



Leg Up Program

Sabka Doctor Foundation trains young men and women who aspire to become ambulance drivers and Hospital care assistants by providing free American Heart Association courses and certification in Basic Life Support and Basic First Aid. The Leg Up program gives them a initial boost and direction to achieve the objective. The program also helps them prepare their Curriculum vitae for Job search.
